Beyazit Tower has been built with 85 meters high in 1749 as a wooden and used as the observation tower for Istanbul Fire Department. Restoration has been started in 1997 by a well experienced construction group together with Basar Construction Contracting & Trade Limited Company. By conserving of the original form of tower, the restoration has been completed. Beyazit Tower is stil being used as an observation tower for metorology and traffic departments of the Municipality. |
